The Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission is the apex body in the technical and vocational education and training sector under the provisions of the Tertiary and Vocational Education Act No 20 of 1990.

Mahatma Gandhi University, Meghalaya is listed in the International Association of Universities Hand Book & recognized by the UGC, Sri Lanka.

IIC University of Technology is approved by the Ministry of Education and Youth and Sports, Royal Kingdom of Cambodia and member of the International Association of Universities and recognized by the University Grants Commission Sri Lanka.
